Anti Aging Is No Longer Only Skin Deep.

It has been a long time coming, but doctors and scientists believe that they have finally discovered an anti aging pill.  For decades now we have been treating the signs of aging as they appear, and only on the surface.  We try to eat right and exercise, but as we get older it is hard to find the time and energy for such exhausting and tedious chores.  Well, those days are behind us.  It is not time to treat aging from the inside out.

What is Resveratrol?

Resveratrol is a natural chemical found in foods such as grapes, peanuts and red wine.  And it is the reason that red wine is so good for you.  The problem is that in order to get the daily recommended amount of Resveratrol needed from red wine you would have to drink nearly 40 bottles!!  Who has the time or the stomach for that??

Luckily, advancements in Resveratrol research have been made allowing the product to be extracted from grapes and from red wine to be capsuled for daily consumption.  No, rather than indulging in more red wine than the body can handle, all one needs to do is take two capsules of ResV daily to receive the same benefit.

Preliminary studies showed that in worms, fruit flies, and laboratory mice Resveratrol was actually able to lengthen their life span.  David Sinclair, PhD, Associate Professor of Pathology at Harvard Medical School made the discovery andannounced that Resveratrol actually counteracted the harmful effects of overeating in mice, cutting the risk of early death by more than 31 percent.

When the mice were placed on a high-fat, high-calorie diet and were given Resveratrol, scientists discovered that the livers of the mice remained healthy, with no signs of over eating.  The livers of the mice NOT taking Resveratrol with the high-fat diet became bloated with excess fat deposits.  Additionally,  resveratrol prevented a rise in glucose and blood sugar in the diets of the mice.  If this can be done for those who over-eat, think of what it could do when combined with a restricted calorie diet and exercise!!

It has been a secret in Hollywood for years – the effects of red wine are wonderful for the body, but actually consuming enough red wine to make a difference is not.  The product Oprah featured yesterday on her show is called RezV which is short for Reseveratrol.  It harnesses the antioxidant power of red wine without ever consuming one drop.  RezV is a dietary supplement in capsule form, not a liquid like so many are.
