<p><strong>What Are Antioxidants?</strong><br />
Free radicals are introduced to the body in a number of ways, from what we eat to what we breathe (pollution and cigarette smoke) as well as how we live. Free Radicals then travel through the blood stream and are absorbed by tissues, causing damage to cell walls, cell structures, and genetic material within cells. The harm of having free radicals in the body is that they can severely damage DNA, causing our cells to reproduce improperly and leading to a number of diseases.
