I have been getting tons of emails lately about readers having trouble in their life.  I realize that their is a relation between your health and your emotional state.   Times are tough for lots of folks and we need to do everything we can to stay happy, healthy, and ready for oppurtunity!

Some of the smartest people I know are the one’s with the semi strict schedules they don’t falter from.  Whether it is making sure they drink a glass of water with meals or putting on their “special” lotion before bed.  Regularity is good.

5) Face Rub? – Yup, you heard it right!  Tell your significant other you need a massage because it will help.  A face massage will increase circulation and a sure way to start your day off right!

In an ideal world, we would all have enough time to exercise every day for at least 30 minutes and we would all make the right choices when deciding what to eat.  We don’t live in an ideal world. The reality is we live in a world where people have to work two jobs, some have to work through lunch making take out an only option.  When you have to juggle carpools, neighborhood meetings, taking kids to-and-from sporting events and dance recitals while working it doesn’t leave a lot of time for hitting the gym.

Since everyone leads a busy life and most people can’t find the time to watch everything they eat and to go to the gym every day. We polled the experts to find out when you can’t do it all, what’s best to do, to get the best results.

If your goal is to simply loose weight, dieting wins out. Timothy Church, MD, PhD, a Louisiana State University researcher points out that is easier,  “to cut 500 calories out of your daily intake than to spend an hour at the gym every day burning 500 calories.”  He goes on to point out that the most successful weight loss plans have,  “a balance of diet and exercise.”

If you are feeling groggy every day and need to increase your energy levels, adding more exercise and physical activity in your life should be your plan.  Exercising increases the amounts of dopamine and nor-epinephrine your body produces, thus increasing your energy levels.

If you were looking to prevent heart disease, adjusting your diet would be the most effective way of addressing that problem.  Dr. William Harris, director of cardiovascular research at the University of South Dakota recommends adding foods that are “high in Omega-3 Fatty Acids” to your diet.  Adding these foods has shown a decrease of heart disease risk by 64 percent in recent studies.

If you are at risk for developing diabetes or would like to improve your current diabetic condition, adding exercise or exercising longer would be the cure!  Reaching a healthy weight through diet and exercise is the best way to deal with diabetes.  When you add more exercise and physical activity you are giving yourself an edge. Active muscles burn up glucose from the blood for fuel, which helps keep blood sugar levels stable.

If you are feeling blue, crabby, or depressed, exercise is the way to go.  Exercise increases the amount of endorphins your body produces; endorphins help to improve your mood and a good way to release stress.
