Moreno’s book tells readers how they can kick start your weight loss, re-learn how to eat through meal planning and adding 17 minutes of vigorous physical activity to your daily routine. He also gives you tips on how to maintain your diet and new healthy lifestyle. He promotes a cycled eating plan that keeps your metabolism from slowing down and adjusting to the status quo.</p>
<p><strong>Jillian Michaels</strong>: “Biggest Loser” trainer, Jillian has been building a fitness empire thanks to her new celebrity. She has released several fitness plan books, DVD’s and Wii games. Jillian has also released an online weight loss plan and tracker. Season 11 of the “Biggest Loser” maybe her last, but don’t look for her to fade into the sunset anytime soon.</p>
<p><strong>The Mommy Diet</strong>: NBC’s Daytime Diva and Biggest Loser Host, Allison Sweeney just released a diet and fitness lifestyle book specifically written for expecting or new mothers.  She uses humor and real life anecdotes to help readers through guidance for fitness, fashion, food choices, and yes sex for busy, married first time moms like Sweeney.</p>
<p><strong>RevAbs</strong>: From the Beach Body people who brought you the wildly popular Power 90 and P90X. RevAbs was developed by budding celebrity trainer, Brett Hoebe, and like the rest of the Beach Body fitness routines, RevAbs uses a 90 Day workout time line to six pack or washboard abs. Hoebel is rumored to be taking Jillian Michael’s place on the “Biggest Loser”.</p>
<p><strong>hCG Diet</strong>: Probably one of the most controversial diets to come out of 2010 that promises to remain popular in 2011 is hCG injections. The diet is so controversial due to the fact that dieters inject themselves with the pregnancy hormone hCG and consuming 500 calories a day. Those who love it, love and rave about the massive amounts of weight they were able to lose while on the plan. Critics say that it is unnatural, unhealthy and dangerous and only creates the illusion of balanced weight loss.</p>

<p>In an ideal world, we would all have enough time to exercise every  day for at least 30 minutes and we would all make the right choices when  deciding what to eat.  We don’t live in an ideal world. <p>Since everyone leads a busy life and most people can’t find the time  to watch everything they eat and to go to the gym every day. We polled  the experts to find out when you can’t do it all, what’s best to do, to  get the best results.</p>
<p>If your goal is to simply loose weight, dieting wins out. Timothy  Church, MD, PhD, a Louisiana State University researcher points out that  is easier,  “to cut 500 calories out of your daily intake than to spend  an hour at the gym every day burning 500 calories.”  He goes on to  point out that the most successful weight loss plans have,  “a balance  of diet and exercise.”</p>
<p>If you are feeling groggy every day and need to increase your energy  levels, adding more exercise and physical activity in your life should  be your plan.  Exercising increases the amounts of dopamine and nor-epinephrine your body produces, thus increasing your energy levels.</p>
<p>If you were looking to prevent heart disease, adjusting your diet  would be the most effective way of addressing that problem.  Dr. William  Harris, director of cardiovascular research at the University of South  Dakota recommends adding foods that are “high in Omega-3 Fatty Acids” to  your diet.  Adding these foods has shown a decrease of heart disease  risk by 64 percent in recent studies.</p>
<p>If you are at risk for developing diabetes or would like to improve  your current diabetic condition, adding exercise or exercising longer  would be the cure!  Reaching a healthy weight through diet and exercise  is the best way to deal with diabetes.  When you add more exercise and  physical activity you are giving yourself an edge. Active muscles burn  up glucose from the blood for fuel, which helps keep blood sugar levels  stable.</p>
<p>If you are feeling blue, crabby, or depressed, exercise is the way to  go.  Exercise increases the amount of endorphins your body produces;  endorphins help to improve your mood and a good way to release stress.</p>

<p>A national survey measured where the majority of our calories come from, and they discovered that most of our calories come from drinking sodas! More people said they drink sodas (7.1%) than said they eat vegetables (6.5%) or chicken/fish (5.7%). Think about this, if you consumed an average of 2,500 calories a day, and you cut 7 percent of your calories, you’d automatically drop down to 2,325, a difference that would save you 1.5 pounds per month. That could be an average of 18 pounds a year- just by avoiding the soft drink machine.</p>

<p>In a recent study, researchers took group of 173 overweight women and put through diet and nutrition training using mainstream diet programs. They then followed them for 10 months, recording their dietary and body composition for up to 12 months. All women in the program lost weight, but those drinking more water lost more weight. Those who drank more than 1 liter of water per day (nearly 4½ cups) lost an extra 5.07 pounds in 12 months.</p>

In fact, researchers at Purdue University found that people stayed fuller longer when they drank thick drinks than when they drank thin ones, and a study at Penn State found that people who drank yogurt shakes that had been blended until they doubled in volume ate 96 fewer calories a day than those consuming thinner drinks.</p>

<p>While even 100 percent juice has its problems, juice drinks and their ilk are the worse offenders. By cutting those tricky drinks out of your diet you’ll lose 19 pounds in a year!</p>

<p>Researchers studied coffee habits in New York and found that two-thirds of Starbucks’ customers opted for blended coffee drinks over regular brewed coffee or tea. The average caloric impact of the blended drinks was 239 calories. The regular coffee or tea, by comparison, was only 63 calories after factoring in added cream and sugar. So even if you like your coffee sweet and light, you can strip away 176 calories every day, just by making this one swap.</p>

<p><strong>Fresh fruits and vegetables are better than frozen </strong>- simply not true!  Eat as much as you can of both fruits and vegetables when available, either fresh or frozen.</p>
<p><strong>Flavored water is better for you than soda</strong> &#8211; busted, actually the newer flavored water and energy drinks will leave you feeling tired and are worse for your body than having a soda.</p>
