Health Benefits

It is no secret that our bodies need antioxidants. Antioxidants protect the cells in our bodies and play a key role in living a longer, healthier life.

What Are Antioxidants?
Free radicals are introduced to the body in a number of ways, from what we eat to what we breathe (pollution and cigarette smoke) as well as how we live. Free Radicals then travel through the blood stream and are absorbed by tissues, causing damage to cell walls, cell structures, and genetic material within cells. The harm of having free radicals in the body is that they can severely damage DNA, causing our cells to reproduce improperly and leading to a number of diseases. The worst case scenario is that over a long time period, damage done by free radicals can become irreversible and lead to disease (like cancer).

Free radicals are unstable oxygen molecules; they are atoms (or groups of atoms) with unpaired electrons. The oxygen molecules want to oxidize, and this oxidation process can be carcinogenic. If left alone, free radicals can cause premature aging, cancer, cataracts, a weakened immune system, and heart disease. Fortunately enough, there is something out there that can help remove free radicals from the body - antioxidants. Antioxidants play a vital role in removing free radicals from the body before they have the chance to do harm.

Antioxidants Benefit the Immune System
As mentioned above, antioxidants also help to boost the body’s immune system. The Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology recently published a study, conducted by researchers, which found that certain chemicals found in antioxidants are able to “switch on” a set of antioxidant genes that are able to combat the effects of free radicals while strengthening the immune system. In Biology we learn about the benefits on having a good Immune System, and that illness or injury can lead to a weakened Immune System. You can help strengthen your Immune System by eradicating illness before it begins by taking a supplement such as Extreme Acai Berries which has great antioxidant properties.

Where Do We Get Antioxidants?

Unfortunately, antioxidants cannot be created by our bodies; just like essential fatty acids, they must come from our diet, by eating fruits and vegetables enriched with these life-sustaining properties. Antioxidants can be found in colorful fruits and vegetables, including: spinach, blueberries, garlic, carrots, tomatoes, brussel sprouts, red bell peppers, and acai berries.

If you don’t have time to prepare meals rich in antioxidants or the appetite to eat the an overabundance of antioxidant rich foods you can supplement your intake of antioxidants with a dietary supplement such as Extreme Acai Berries. Taking two tablets in the morning before breakfast will provide your body with added antioxidants to help fight off disease-causing free radicals. Best of all, you can try Extreme Acai Berried risk free for one month. See how Acai Berries can make you feel healthier, energized and full of vigor.

Research has shown that there seems to be no end to the Acai miracle fruit’s health benefits. So, follow the advice of leading scientists and nutritionists. Fight free radicals by eating plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables and add Extreme Acai Berries to your diet. Stay young, active and healthy as long as you can.
